Googles New Search Engine “Caffeine”

Google is introducing their new Google search engine Caffeine.  When you click on the link and land on Google Caffeine notice instead of www. it now says www2.

My question “is this the start of Internet 2″?

They also talk about location based tweets on Twitter. This could be huge for local business’s.

What do you think of when you put out a tweet, Twitter will give your location of a close approximation of where you are at.

Listen to this informative podcast on Google Caffeine, Twitter, Friendfeed, facebook and trim updates.

Could these changes change the direction of social networking?

Should you be using 3rd part apps to get your message out?

Good or bad, you tell me?

  1. I hadn’t heard anything about Google’s new search engine. However, Caffeine, seems to be an interesting name. Have to check it out.

Insofar as Twitter being configured to show where you are, I think that it’s great for local businesses as well. People naturally want to connect with people close to them and love being able to “recognize” local businesses.
